Knox, left, is 7 months. Lincoln, right, is 2 weeks older. It is a privilege to be part of both these boys' lives.                                                                                                                                              We are so thankful their moms called us.

God works in strange (unusual) ways

Isa 55:8: "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.

You know how sometimes when you meet someone, there is an immediate special connection? That’s the way it was for Whitney and me. Well, at least for me.  Whitney and I met in Atlanta last summer—at a fundraising conference. She was a presenter. And the moment she said she donated to a single mom nonprofit, I was drawn to her like a magnet. We HAD to meet!
Since then, I have become a client of hers. We met again in Louisville last week. She had some exciting news to share. She started a nonprofit AND I WAS HER INSPIRATION! What?!

I saw a need. Half of single mom families are living in poverty.
                                                                    How can we change that?

Chia and Friends provides a network of support and encouragement to help single moms get a career education—finances, mentors, tutors, a life assistance team, exchanged life counseling and an evening study hall with childcare.
                                                                Our goal is their success.

Whitney saw a need. Young women were aging out of the foster care system and were homeless. How can we change that? If her client could help young women stay clear of homelessness, she could too. The mission her new nonprofit, A Circle of Awesome--everyone needs one, is to surround young adults with the resources, relationships, experiences and encouragement they need to thrive.

Chia and Friends provides help today. By doing so
we provide hope for tomorrow and hope for eternity.

We impact the next generation and leave a better society for our children and grandchildren.

Today is Happy Single Parent Day! Do you see a need? How can you change that? You don't need to start a nonprofit like Whitney did! Is God leading you to help a single mom family? Make a difference in a single mom family’s life. It really is like loving your daughter. Donate time, talent and treasure.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Phil 4:19.
